Purchasing & Compatibility

Q: Where can I buy the RF PACK S3?
A: At the PINGEQUA Store for $28.99 USD. Ships globally within 48 hours. Delivery: 7–15 business days.

Q: Does the RF PACK S3 work with the M5Stack Cardputer?
A: No. The RF PACK S3 is designed exclusively for the M5Stack StickS3. For M5Stack Cardputer, PINGEQUA offers the Hydra RF 424 Cap and Hydra RF 924 Pro.

Q: Does it work with M5StickC Plus?
A: No. The RF PACK S3 is only compatible with the M5Stack StickS3. PINGEQUA offers a separate Stick RF 424 module for M5StickC Plus.

Q: Does it work with Flipper Zero?
A: No. For Flipper Zero, PINGEQUA offers the SWITCHBLADE RF 3-in-1, NRF24 & CC1101 2-in-1, and BW16 Devboard.

Q: What is the return policy?
A: 14 days for unused items in original condition. The warranty covers manufacturing defects and excludes damage from improper flashing or overvoltage.

Firmware

Q: What firmware does the RF PACK S3 require?
A: Bruce firmware v1.14 or later. Do NOT use v1.12 or v1.13 — they are missing the SPI and power patches needed for module recognition. Flash at bruce.computer/flasher.

Q: Why can't I use Bruce v1.12 or v1.13?
A: Those versions are missing two critical patches: (1) an SPI patch that allows the firmware to initialize the CC1101 chipset, and (2) a power patch for stable LDO behavior. Without these patches, the CC1101 will not be recognized.

Q: Does the RF PACK S3 work with Marauder firmware?
A: Yes, Marauder firmware is compatible.

Q: Do I need to configure brucepins.conf?
A: No manual pin configuration is needed for the RF PACK S3. Module configuration is handled through the Bruce menu.

Hardware & Setup

Q: Is soldering required?
A: No. The RF PACK S3 attaches directly to the M5Stack StickS3 expansion header — plug-and-play.

Q: Can both CC1101 and nRF24L01 be active simultaneously?
A: No. The board uses hardware-level mutual-exclusion logic so only one chipset is active at a time. Switching between them is handled automatically without physical intervention.

Q: How do I configure the CC1101 in Bruce firmware?
A: Navigate to: Menu → RF → CONFIG → RF MODULE → CC1101 (legacy)

Q: How do I use the nRF24L01?
A: Simply activate the nRF24 module in the Bruce menu. No additional configuration is required — it works immediately.

Technical

Q: What Sub-GHz frequencies does the CC1101 support?
A: The CC1101 supports 315 MHz, 433 MHz, 868 MHz, and 915 MHz.

Q: What modulations does CC1101 support?
A: FSK, OOK, and ASK modulation.

Q: What does the ME6211 LDO provide?
A: The ME6211 is a 500mA low-noise LDO voltage regulator. Combined with the 100µF Tantalum capacitor, it provides a stable, noise-free power supply to prevent voltage sag during RF transmissions.

Q: What is the nRF24L01 frequency range?
A: 2.400 GHz to 2.525 GHz. It uses the Enhanced ShockBurst protocol and is commonly used for tasks like 2.4GHz device sniffing and mousejacking research.

Q: Why does the board use hardware mutual exclusion instead of software switching?
A: Hardware mutual exclusion is more reliable — it eliminates timing issues and conflicts that can occur with software-only switching, and adds no latency or firmware complexity.
