π― What: The
load_shownfunction inhooks/utils.pycatchesTypeErrorwhen reading the state file (which can occur ifjson.load(f)returns a non-iterable likeintwhich we try to wrap inset()). However, there wasn't a dedicated test ensuring this exact fallback path was executed completely.π Coverage: A new test
test_load_shown_handles_typeerroris added intests/test_utils.pywhich mocksjson.loadto specifically raiseTypeError. This guarantees theTypeErrorexception path inload_shownis covered and won't crash the script.β¨ Result: Test coverage and resilience have improved for the JSON deserialization error path. The code is safer to refactor because all branches are explicitly verified.
