OpenCore for ASUS ROG MAXIMUS XI HERO

Warning

This repository is deprecated and no longer maintained. I no longer own this hardware. The last known working configuration is preserved in the latest release.

For my latest (and likely last) Hackintosh build, see OpenCore-ASUS-ROG-MAXIMUS-Z790-DARK-HERO.

EFI folder based on OpenCore 1.0.3 for ASUS ROG MAXIMUS XI HERO, Intel Core i9-9900K, and Sapphire Radeon RX 580.

Currently running macOS Sequoia 15.2 (24C101) with FileVault 2 enabled.

Installation

• Download EFI folder as tarball or zip archive from releases page.
• Unarchive downloaded file locally, and change directory there.
• Follow replace placeholders section.
• Once done, mount EFI partition and copy EFI folder there.
