The Python environment is managed with uv. The lockfile and Python pin are committed, so the environment is reproducible across machines.

uv syncThis reads pyproject.toml + uv.lock and creates a .venv/ with the exact package versions.
To add a new dependency:
uv add <package> # updates pyproject.toml and uv.lockQuarto (>= 1.8) must be installed separately. Run Quarto through uv run so it picks up the project's .venv Python:

Quarto chunk fences control whether a code block is executed:
