I was unable to launch the older outdated packages from the iOS simulators.
Updated to latest expo version and removed
react-native-scriptsbase on update guide onhttps://github.com/expo/create-react-native-app/blob/master/CHANGELOG.md#upgrading-from-1140-to-201
Now the application launches flawlessly.
