+**Symptoms**: Server connects and lists tools successfully, but Claude Desktop shows "Server disconnected" or something similar

+**Cause**: Known issue with `npx mcp-remote` and Claude Desktop where the `initialize` response is not forwarded back in time. See [modelcontextprotocol/typescript-sdk#86](https://github.com/modelcontextprotocol/typescript-sdk/issues/86).
