afx-Screenshot for After Effects

Quickly save screenshots from your active composition.

Install

1. Place afx-Screenshot.jsx in:
   • Win: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects [version]\Support Files\Scripts\ScriptUI Panels\
   • Mac: /Applications/Adobe After Effects [version]/Scripts/ScriptUI Panels/
2. Restart AE
3. Find in: Window > afx-Screenshot

Use

• Open a composition
• Click the "Screenshot" button
• Saves PNG to desktop with filename: CompName_frame_00001.png
• Automatically opens the file location

Notes

• Uses current time position in timeline
• No render queue - fast single-frame export
• Works with AE 2025+
