Aether Browser 1.0.0 (BETA)
The first official build of Aether is here! Aether is not just a wrapper, but a custom-engineered browser shell built from the ground up with a focus on design and user experience.
Highlights
- Custom Engine: Complete browser shell (Tabs, Omnibox, Sidebar) powered by Electron & React.
- Sidebar Essentials: Quick access to Bookmarks, History, Quick Notes, and Downloads directly from the sidebar.
- Theming: Three built-in themes (Aether Light, Deep Night, Cyberpunk Purple).
Installation
Windows
- Download and run
Aether-Setup-1.0.0.exe. - The NSIS installer will guide you through the setup.
- Note: Since this executable is brand new and unsigned, Windows SmartScreen might flag it. Simply click "More info" -> "Run anyway".
Linux
- Download the
.AppImage. - Since you are using the AppImage, make it executable before running:
chmod +x Aether-1.0.0.AppImage
./Aether-1.0.0.AppImageBeta Notice & Feedback
Since this is an early beta release, you might encounter some rough edges or unpolished features.
- Known Issues: Performance optimizations in tab management and experimental Linux support.
