Bug Description

All OFDM entities are no longer reporting. With 3.11 there was the major update to parse the type of channel, QAM, OFDM, and ATDMA.

After this update

• OFDM Channel Entities are all "Unknown" and named "QAM". Modem uses the string "OFDM PLC"

The "OFDM PLC" detail helped narrow this down.

The parser stores that in modulation, but entity creation only looked for channel_type. Without it, everything defaulted to "qam", broke the lookup, and showed "Unknown".

Digging into this clarified something I hadn't fully understood - channel_type (the DOCSIS transport: qam/ofdm) vs modulation (the encoding: QAM256/QAM4096) are different layers. Your issue exposed that the S33, MB8611, and SB8200 parsers weren't setting channel_type explicitly.

There's an approach on feature/v3.12.0 if you want to try it early: Testing Unreleased Versions. Otherwise it's targeting ~Jan 6.
