What

Reframes the README opening to lead with what run-kit is — an agent-agnostic, tmux-native, phone-first remote console — instead of what rk riff does.

Why

The previous opening was feature-led ("rk riff spawns AI coding agents in parallel git worktrees…"). It never stated the category, which left run-kit indistinguishable from the crowded field of agent-wrapper dashboards. The durable truth is that run-kit is a terminal layer, not an agent wrapper — a coding agent is just one of the things you run in a pane (equally a build, a REPL, an ssh session). That's what makes it outlive whichever agent tooling is current.

Changes

  • Tagline + "Why run-kit?" rewritten to lead with the console framing and the agent-agnostic stance.
  • New "What run-kit is (and isn't)" table — makes the is/isn't explicit in one glance.
  • Body threading — "a pane is just a pane" reinforced in the riff intro, the spawn_command note, serve/architecture wording, and the command table.
  • All reference sections (status dots, boards, push notifications, commands, troubleshooting) are unchanged.

Positioning is implicit throughout — no competitor is named. Net +24 / -14 on a single file.

Lead with what run-kit *is* — an agent-agnostic, tmux-native, phone-first
remote console — rather than what rk riff does. The previous opening was
feature-led and never stated the category, leaving run-kit
indistinguishable from agent-wrapper dashboards.

- Rewrite tagline + 'Why run-kit?' to lead with the console framing and
the agent-agnostic stance (the agent is one of the things you run, not
the thing run-kit is — so it outlives whichever agent you run).
- Add a 'What run-kit is (and isn't)' table making the is/isn't explicit.
- Thread the 'a pane is just a pane' framing through the body (riff intro,
spawn_command note, serve/architecture wording, command table).

All reference sections (status dots, boards, push, commands) unchanged.
