Red Cards

All people in the United States, regardless of immigration status, have certain rights and protections under the U.S. Constitution. The ILRC’s Red Cards help people assert their rights and defend themselves in many situations, such as when ICE agents go to a home.

United We Dream's MigraWatch hotline lets you report ICE or CBP activity and get connected to support. It works anywhere in the U.S.

Find a Free or Low-Cost Immigration Lawyer (Nationwide)

The National Immigration Legal Services Directory lets you search nonprofit legal-aid providers by state, county, or detention facility. Only nonprofits offering free or low-cost help are listed.

Resources by State

Hotline numbers and hours can change, and many of these lines lead local rapid-response networks. Confirm details on the organization's website before relying on them, and please open an issue or pull request if you find anything out of date.

Arizona

The Florence Immigrant & Refugee Rights Project (FIRRP) is the largest provider of free legal and social services to detained immigrants in Arizona.

California

CHIRLA's Immigrant Assistance Line leads the Raids Rapid Response Network and connects people detained by ICE with legal help.

Florida

The Florida Immigrant Coalition (FLIC) runs a statewide rapid-response hotline you can call or text after an ICE raid or to get immigration legal advice.

Illinois

The Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR) Family Support Hotline operates 24/7 in English, Spanish, Korean, and Polish.

Massachusetts

The Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition (MIRA) is the largest immigrant-rights coalition in New England and a hub for know-your-rights materials and resource referrals.

New Jersey

The New Jersey Alliance for Immigrant Justice (NJAIJ) is the state's largest immigration coalition and runs a detention hotline for detained individuals and detention-related calls.

New York

ActionNYC offers free, safe, confidential immigration legal help in your language (Mon–Fri, 9am–6pm).
