sync-yt

Watch YouTube videos in sync with others. Supports chat, room permissions, and live viewer list.

Running locally

Get a YouTube API key from https://developers.google.com/youtube/v3/getting-started, then:

git clone https://github.com/piewhat/sync-yt
cd sync-yt
YT=your_api_key cargo run

Open http://127.0.0.1:3030

Deploying

1. Build with Docker, passing YT as an environment variable
2. Reverse proxy as normal
