OpenCap uses a synchronization algorithm to synchronize the videos recorded using multiple cameras.

The latest version (v1.1, default) is more accurate and more robust when the user punches one hand
in the air above their shoulders (it will automatically use the best detected punch from either hand)
and brings it back down at some point during the trial. We recommend using it for studies involving
treadmill gait or fairly static movements. With no hand punch, it behaves the same as v1.0.

The original version (v1.0) may have lower accuracy when synchronizing movements with hand punch.
Otherwise, it behaves the same as v1.1 in any other instance.
