Reverts the squash-merge of #450 (commit
674dbeef) frommodular-viscy-staging.#450 was merged into
modular-viscy-stagingby mistake — it should have gone tomain. By the time #450 merged (2026-06-10), themodular-viscy-staging → mainintegration (#373) had already happened (2026-06-04), so the change never reachedmainfrom here. The change has been re-applied tomaindirectly in #465.This revert removes the stray change from
