Testing tp_smapi on unknown hardware

tp_smapi should "just work" on every recent ThinkPad. But it could happen that Lenovo changes something and you are asked to test a patch or you just want to know whether all functions of your machine are really supported.

Warning

Please notice, that using tp_smapi may leave your machine (to be exact: the embedded controller) in an unstable state (as eg seen on some Edge notebooks). You can easily solve that by turning the machine off, removing battery and AC and then pressing the power-button for 30 seconds. A reboot might not help :)
