Real-Time Ocean Simulation in Rust

License: MIT Rust WGPU

A high-performance spectral ocean simulation built with Rust and WGPU.


Real-time ocean simulation following Tessendorf's model, using the Phillips Spectrum, IFFTs and GPU shaders. Built in Rust with a focus on performance, realism, and learning experience.

Controls

  • WASD: Movement
  • Mouse: Yaw/Pitch
  • ESC: Exit application
  • F3: Debug Text
  • F4: Preset Manager
  • F5: Fullscreen toggle

Some notes

This project is not perfect and has its own flaws. Feel free to find issues & submit PR's. Best preset so far to load in is 'WOAH' (Im aware, really creative).
