How is lo/g/os different from Arch? lo/g/os is very similar to Arch. It uses a different installer (Arch places the user into a CLI with no directions), has some preinstalled packages, and theming, but remains essentially Arch. Work is being done to develop other components, notably riceDB, a riced configuration manager inspired by pacman. As time goes on, lo/g/os will continue to go its own way.

What makes lo/g/os different from other /g/ OS's (i.e., is ths going to last?)? Many other /g/ OS's failed to set themselves apart from other distros, in that they basically added theming and bloat to their bases, but little else. lo/g/os is aware of that trap, and is intending to follow the Arch Way, to develop tools that enable the user to further their goals without forcing decisions upon them. That said, the best way to make this a distro that will last, is to help out. Look around and see if there is a place that you can contribute, or ask on a chat thread.

Isn't this a Joke? Well, it was a joke on the 4chan board, that is why we have a logo and a name before we have that much else. But now we have serious developers working on making this something that might legitimately be useful.

Where do I go for support? Currently, there is not a dedicated IRC or other place. I suggest that you post on the current 4chan thread until we get something better going.

I booted from the ISO but nothing works!? lo/g/os currently uses the i3 windows manager. Press mod+enter to open terminal, mod+d for dmenu.

What/where is the mod key? Try Win or Alt. If you are using an Apple keyboard, try left or right command.
