pypolarsail

This code implements sailing polar regression engine designed to transform raw sailing data (TWA, TWS, Boat Speed) into a smooth, physically accurate performance model.

Unit Conventions

Angles: -Internal to code: radians -In Boat data files: degrees

Coordinate System

Boat: +x: Toward bow +y: Toward Starboard +z: Down (into water) Rationale: This makes a right handed coordinate system with angles positive to starboard (clockwise positive when looking from above)
