Here is the updates I made to allow it work in my SAJ installation with one inverter R5 and one Battery AS1-3KS-5.1

Have you tried this on a vanilla R5 system? When I looked at your proposal I made a mental note to understand how this change would change the behavior of a plain vanilla R5 system.
My hypothesis is that it will not longer report power properly - byt I may be wrong.
My hypothis was that I needed to look at one of the "type" parameter and determine what action to take to make it compatible with different system.

I'll try it on my R5 system, hopefully in the coming weekend.
