This repository hosts the files used to construct a tutorial for using MB-System to process and display multibeam sonar data.
To help users without a Linux/Mac computer or for those who are limited in modifying their computers to run MB-System, two Virtual Machines (VM) were created using VirtualBox (available at www.virtualbox.org). The VMs are available in two flavors, one for Intel/AMD 64-bit computers, and another for ARM64/Apple Silicon. They are available here:

To run those, people must download and install VirtualBox, download the VM (both the .vdi and .vbox files) that matches their computer, open the VirtualBox, select "Open" and choose the .vbox file to import it, and after the VM is ready, press "start".
PS: The user password is "marum" if that is requested at login or when running things like sudo.
