Encuentro Nacional 4/20²⁶ Pro-Legalización 🌿

National 4/20²⁶ Pro-Legalization Gathering 🌿 Encuentro Nacional 4/20²⁶ Pro-Legalización 🌿

Community

The living community around this project lives in WhatsApp. It doesn't stop in April.

Post-event bridges:

General and territorial:

The repository exists to document, clarify, and strengthen what the community is building — not to replace the living community itself.

What this repository is

This repository documents Encuentro Nacional 4/20²⁶ Pro-Legalización 🌿 as a replicable cultural celebration of free entry and free participation.

It is rooted in Bolivia, with Proyecto Cultural Barranco as the documented 2026 reference case. It is designed to be useful beyond a single space, city, or edition — open to future adaptations for other territories, languages, and legal frameworks if enough interest and stewardship emerge.

The goal is not only to document a past event, but to leave an open structure that other host spaces, collaborators, and communities can understand, adapt, and replicate.

Core idea

The 4/20²⁶ at Barranco showed something deeper than a cannabis advocacy event. Cannabis legalization was the shared goal — but the deeper center was the alternative way of organizing: co-creating, adapting, caring for the space, collaborating, and being together as a diverse community.

Voluntariado Barranco seeks to cultivate that same possibility throughout the year: a freer, more responsible, and more human way of living, organizing, and creating together.

We believe that open, well-cared-for, and increasingly visible cultural celebrations can help reduce stigma, invite skeptics and the general public into a more mature conversation, and gradually bring Bolivia closer to a serious discussion about cannabis legalization. The main strategy is not confrontation, but social visibility through example, hospitality, culture, and shared experience.

The two pillars toward 4/20²⁷

Strengthening the Manual 4/20 🌿

The Manual 4/20 🌿 is the living resource for context, harm reduction, and shared learning. The goal is to make it more complete, more socially readable, and eventually printable — reaching universities, cultural spaces, homes, and public conversations.

Replication: how and why to organize a 4/20

Replicating 4/20 events across different cities is not a logistical detail: it is part of the movement's strategy. Every space that opens helps make the community more visible, reduce stigma, and turn legalization into a conversation that becomes harder to ignore.

Status

The 4/20²⁶ reference case at Proyecto Cultural Barranco happened. Three days, no incidents, co-creation worked in practice.

This repository is now being restructured as a post-event hub: documentation of the 2026 reference case, a strengthening ground for the Manual 4/20 🌿, and an open replication guide for 4/20²⁷ and beyond.

The next horizon is 4/20²⁷.
