At that time, I probably just looked at the jsonwebtoken document and had to choose a backend, but I probably didn’t think too much about it 😂.

Note that jsonwebtoken 10.3.0 contains the fix for CVE-2026-25537, “jsonwebtoken has Type Confusion that leads to potential authorization bypass.”
