Just a few weeks ago I had a look at autotiling-rs which uses Sway IPC in a similar way. Since the latest change in xdg-desktop-portal broke some setups for our users at Arch Linux, I stumbled over this repo and it's documentation. The rewrite looked like a nice task.
Without any prior code the structure would probably be a bit different, but I thought that similarity to the old code for a rewrite is a nice thing to have.
Also added some CI to test for formatting oder generel rust issues with fmt, clippy and build.
