A curated sample of the MASGSE Manual: the definitive educational resource for AI-powered software engineering. This repository exists to share the scope and quality of the manual and to explain how it is maintained.
This is a living-document project. The full manual (Orchestrating Intelligent Multi-Agent Systems — Multi-Agent System Generated Software Engineering, 27 chapters + appendices) is not static. It is regularly updated by AI agents that:
- Seek scientific insights — Survey recent research (e.g. agent benchmarks, production studies, safety and alignment work) and extract evidence-based findings.
- Turn insights into better excerpts — Propose new sections, revise existing text, add citations, and improve clarity so the manual stays aligned with the literature and practice.
- Keep the manual evolving — Integrate new patterns, workflows, tool cards, and lessons so the manual remains a current, usable reference for building production-grade multi-agent systems.
So the manual is not a one-time snapshot: it is an evolving manual, continuously refined from scientific and practitioner input and maintained as a coherent, human-reviewable body of knowledge.
This repo contains a sample of the manual (v0.84):
- First three chapters in full — Introduction to MASGSE, AI-Enhanced SDLC, and Essential Tools & Setup.
- Every third chapter from Chapter 4 onward — Ch 4, 7, 10, 13, 16, 19, 22, 25 — so you can see coverage across foundations, architecture, lifecycle, patterns, production, and case studies.
The sample gives you a clear view of structure, tone, and depth. It is a pitch: the full manual is available on request for employment discussions, collaboration, or serious study.
The complete manual includes:
- 27 chapters — Foundations, architecture, agent lifecycle, advanced patterns, production, governance, and case studies.
- Appendices A–Q — Compliance checklists, schema examples, workflow templates, glossary, certification, benchmarking, CLI spec, reference implementation guide, prompt templates, lab solutions, tool cards, troubleshooting, and more.
- 16 hands-on labs, 51 design patterns, 18 tool cards with implementation code, and production lessons from 11 studies and 306 practitioner surveys.
