Rules
The game is a combination of roguelike and strategy. The game is based on pirates, and focuses on turn-based naval combat as part of the strategy including level progression and short game session as part of a roguelike.
Its rules are:
Player begins game with a low-level pirate ship Player must go through three tutorial islands of the game map in order to start real game progression After tutorial, player proceeds to main game map Player should survive as long as possible, otherwise the entire game session ends and restarts upon death Player progresses through the islands of the game map to reach next level During progression, random events occur A level of the game map is only completed after defeat of the level mini-boss (There are 2 to defeat) After defeat of all 2 mini-bosses and Player is of high enough level - they can proceed to fight the final boss Game is complete upon defeat of final boss
Player starts game session with an upgradeable, but low-level pirate ship Generally, ship levelling and upgrading will occur through roaming of the game map and going to islands Player can free-roam on the game map, where they can reach different islands or come across different random events Player can level up ship by gaining experience, of which is accumulated through combat with enemy ships Player can upgrade their ship by chance of the merchant random event, or through the exploration random event Combat with ships is naval type, which is fought turn-based style Through levelling and upgrades, the player can make their ship strong enough to battle the mini-bosses and the final boss
Stats and Attributes can affect game progression difficulty, such as the difficulty in defeating another ship or boss - this depends on Player choice though There is no cap on how much the player can level or upgrade their ship, they can reach the required level to get to the final boss but choose to further level and upgrade their ship to make the fight easier
