Security Policy

Security reports for DEALIoT should be handled privately first.

Supported Scope

Security reports are in scope when they affect:

  • Runtime services, ingestion, schemas, processing jobs, or management console behavior.
  • Deployment manifests, CI workflows, image build, or supply-chain metadata.
  • Documentation that could cause insecure production configuration.
  • Secrets handling, authentication, authorization, network policy, or data publication controls.

Reporting

Do not open a public issue for a vulnerability.

Use GitHub private vulnerability reporting when available, or contact the maintainers through the support channel listed in SUPPORT.md with:

  • Affected component and version or commit SHA.
  • Reproduction steps.
  • Impact assessment.
  • Suggested remediation if known.

Targets are operational goals, not contractual SLAs.

Disclosure

Maintainers will coordinate disclosure after a fix or mitigation is available. Public advisories should include affected versions, impact, mitigation, and upgrade guidance.
