The README now contains unresolved conflict markers; in this state the list is not valid Markdown and the new normalization check cannot run (python scripts/normalize_lists.py --check fails with ValueError: Malformed list entry: <<<<<<< HEAD). This blocks the added pull-request workflow and leaves duplicate/conflicting entries visible to users until the conflict is resolved.
