Saint Errant is a sovereign digital society — a non-profit NGO building open infrastructure for the next generation of builders, thinkers, and operators.
We believe intelligence should not be rented from a corporation. Compute should not flow through a gatekeeping API. Decisions should not be stored in someone else's black box.
We build sovereign systems. In the open. With proof.
Our AI reasoning runs locally — no OpenAI, no Anthropic API calls, no data leaving the building. Ollama keeps the intelligence in-house. The chain keeps the record permanent. The fortress keeps the decisions sealed.
To build transparent, sovereign, community-owned digital infrastructure — so that intelligence, capital, and governance belong to the people who build with them, not the platforms they build on.
We are:
- Non-profit — governed by the community, funded through Open Collective
- Open source — everything we build is public, verifiable, and forkable
- Sovereign — no dependency on Big Tech APIs for core intelligence
- Transparent — every decision sealed to an immutable chain, every fund movement public
Saint Errant is organised into guilds. Every member declares their guild on entry.
| Guild | Symbol | Domain |
|---|---|---|
| Developer Guild | ⚡ | Builders contributing to the sovereign codebase |
| Builder Guild | 🔨 | Makers working in the broader ecosystem |
| Cypherpunk Guild | 🔐 | Security, cryptography, zero-trust operations |
| UK Builder Guild | 🇬🇧 | UK Treasury Social Nest — GBP capital infrastructure |
| Observer Guild | 👁 | Witnesses to the machine — community and support |
| Sovereign | ◈ | Core architects — Ahmad Parr, EDUALC |
Guild membership is recorded permanently in the chain. Your role is your clearance. Your clearance is your access.
Saint Errant runs on the SnapKitty Sovereign OS — an AI-native operating system built in the open.
What makes it sovereign:
Local LLM reasoning — Ollama (llama3.1:8b) runs on our server
No queries routed to OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google
Intelligence stays in-house. Always.
Cryptographic sealing — Every agent decision sealed SHA-256
Every event permanent in the WORM chain
Nothing can be altered after the fact
Three-pillar preflight — P1:SEAL · P2:CHAIN · P3:IDENTITY
Every query verified before any agent processes it
Unsigned payloads are killed before they're read
Dual gatekeeper — VAULT (financial) + ATLAS (operational)
Both must pass for any significant action
Neither alone is sufficient
11 sovereign agents — Named, domain-expert, peer-consulting
RELAY · AXIOM · VAULT · NEXUS · FORGE
HERALD · TENSOR · SENTINEL · LEDGE · ATLAS · QUILL
We do not route queries to Big Tech. The Ollama model runs on a 1TB RAM server. When you ask an agent a question, the reasoning happens in our infrastructure, not in a corporation's data centre.
Saint Errant is funded through Open Collective — fully transparent, every pound and dollar publicly tracked.
What contributions fund:
- Server infrastructure (1TB RAM, RTX 5000 — always on)
- Ollama model hosting and compute
- UK Treasury Social Nest operations
- Open source tooling and documentation
- Security audits and compliance
- Community events and developer onboarding
We do not take venture capital. We do not sell data. We do not charge for the knowledge our agents produce.
Saint Errant is governed by its members.
Major decisions are proposed, voted on, and sealed to the chain via the COMMONS agent. Vote weight is proportional to contribution tenure and funding participation.
Every sealed decision is permanent. Every governance record is public.
Proposal → Member vote → COMMONS ratifies → SHA-256 seal → WORM chain

| Layer | Technology | Sovereign? |
|---|---|---|
| LLM reasoning | Ollama (local, in-house) | ✅ No external API |
| Database | Neon PostgreSQL | ✅ No Big Tech cloud |
| Auth | NextAuth + bcrypt | ✅ Self-hosted |
| Sealing | SHA-256 WORM (Rust) | ✅ Cryptographic proof |
| Tunnel | Cloudflare | |
| Discord | Discord API | |
| Banking | Plaid |
We are transparent about our dependencies. Where we use external services, it is by necessity — not by preference. Our roadmap moves toward further sovereignty over time.
