📋 Release Notes: Attendify v1.0.0 "Foundation"

We are thrilled to announce the first stable release of Attendify, the intelligent biometric bridge for modern educational environments.

🌟 Version Highlights

🧠 Gemini 3 Vision Core

Our verification engine has been upgraded to utilize the latest Gemini 3 Flash Vision models. This allows for:

  • Spatial Consistency: Better detection of facial landmarks in varied lighting.
  • Contextual Awareness: The AI now understands if a student is in a classroom versus a suspicious environment.
  • Rapid Inference: Verification cycles are now 40% faster than our initial alpha tests.

📊 Predictive Analytics

The Lecturer Dashboard now includes a "Punctuality Risk" module. This uses a 70% attendance threshold to automatically flag students who may be falling behind, allowing for early intervention.

⏱️ Policy Buffers

Lecturers can now define "Early Arrival" and "Late Grace" windows. This ensures that attendance data isn't just binary (Present/Absent) but captures the nuance of student behavior.

🛠️ System Requirements

  • Camera: Integrated webcam or external USB camera (720p+ recommended).
  • Browser: Chrome 110+, Edge 110+, or Safari 16+.
  • Connectivity: Stable internet connection for Gemini API calls.
  • API Key: A valid Google AI Studio API key with Gemini 3 access.

🚧 Known Limitations in v1.0.0

  • Local Persistence: Data is currently stored in localStorage. Clearing browser cache will reset the database.
  • Single Lecturer: This release assumes a single lecturer context (ID: l1).
  • CORS Constraints: Some external mock profile images may trigger a "Biometric Bypass" if the hosting server (e.g., picsum.photos) restricts cross-origin requests.
