Removes said files, and also does a bit of code tidying in test_Units.py, and a small change to make the test work for numpy 1 and 2.

All good, please merge. (Don't worry about the CI jobs - they are failing with unrelated setup issues such as for a pre-commit related action we use being unavailable: "Our services aren't available right now")
