A measured model of the character of web content, propagated across the link graph.

Search measures two properties of a web page: its authority and its topic. DYNAMICS-WEB measures a third, character: how a page reads, across eight dimensions, with its subject and its standing held fixed. It is the content sibling to DYNAMICS-8, our model of human disposition.

- A public measure of topical standing computed over the whole link graph and served openly.
- A public measure of authority served beside it.
- Character is a distinct third axis. It is not authority (which reconstructs it at a coefficient of determination of 0.030) nor surface text statistics (0.256), and its axes hold across Arabic, Chinese and Swahili read directly.
- The link graph carries more than authority. Character propagates from a domain to its neighbours at about 0.4 per axis against a null of zero, and the same engine reconstructs geographic relevance for forty six countries from links alone. So what else propagates?
- The unseen half of character changes behaviour. In a pre registered, powered experiment (n = 117), matching the sub perceptual axes of a page to a reader raised conversion from 19% to 31% (one sided p = 0.0295), while the loud commercial axes carried none of the lift.
Character is not an artefact of one model. Three foundation models from three developers, an internal 27B teacher, Anthropic Opus 4.8 and Mistral Large 123B, independently recover five to six of the eight axes from the same pages and reproduce the population separations. Two axes, stance and originality, remain teacher relative and are reported honestly.
