Prepare for demo day and handoff

Overview

Closes #73

This pull request consolidates all changes for the version of the application that will be used for demo day. New documentation has been introduced throughout the application when able, and much code has been refactored for the next batch of maintainers. Most importantly, the user interface has received a bit of a facelift.

Other Notes

Some branch-specific changes:

• There is a new landing page
• There is now an app-wide client-side React context that provides user information such as name based on the current auth session

Remaining Tasks

These are some TODOs for the remainder of the handoff period:

• Ensure every internal API is documented
• Document the architecture of Connie
• Create an end-to-end guide on how to deploy Connie to the web
• Possibly containerize Connie if time permits
