Environment variable tweaks for deploy and cli

I found two small bugs while working on the Current pipeline:

• The deploy script was not conveying the repo URL to the remote host, which broke the remote host's ability to clone the repo
• The code that sets the AWS profile environment variable wasn't working when the environment variable was manually set
