What would you like to be added ?

The HDA response should be aligned with the STAC version 1.1.0. (see https://github.com/radiantearth/stac-spec/releases/tag/v1.1.0)

Why is this needed ?

DEDL should use the latest STAC version.

How should it be implemented ?

to be updated:

  • collection metadata
  • eodag metadata mapping
  • formatting in stac-fastapi-eodag

History

changes to be done in data repository:

  • update stac_version field to 1.1.0
  • merge raster:bands and eo:bands to bands:
    • properties name, description, data_type, nodata, units and statistics are common properties
    • other properties have to be prefixed with "eo" or "raster" depending from which extension they come
  • remove item-assets extension (has been added to core)
  • update license value: "proprietary" should be replaced with SPDX License identifier if available or "other"update stac_version field to 1.1.0
  • merge raster:bands and eo:bands to bands:

changes in stac-fastapi-eodag (not in this scope):

  • remove STAC metadata and extensions handling
  • title in collection/item links should be the title of the collection/item

changes in eodag:

  • remove eo_bands from ElectroOptical extension
  • merge eo and raster bands in assets for providers using STAC 1.0.0 (planetary_computer, earth_search_gcs)
  • add units to CommonStacMetadata
