The implementation uses retrieved resting-state HRF (https://github.com/BIDS-Apps/rsHRF/tree/master/rsHRF) for BOLD simulations (instead of the Balloon-Windkessel model). The HRF is obtained from an input file and upsampled to the model's sampling rate, and then convolved with the neural states to produce the BOLD response.
