Made for the Turn-Based Dungeon Crawler Jam.
Your goal is to escape the dungeon by clearing encounters. After 10 encounters you have a chance to find the exit, with that chance increasing the more you clear. Along the way you can encounter NPCs that will offer to swap your form (name, stats, and skills) with a randomly chosen enemy, or your item for another.
I wasn't able to get all of the features I had planned in on time, but I plan on working on it post-jam to get it closer to the original scope.
Tips:
- Smoke bomb item allows you to skip combat while still counting as a cleared encounter, thus getting you closer to the exit for free.
- All stat changes are permanent (including item uses), even for enemies.
- Swapping to a new form resets your item uses unless you had previously ran out of items on that form before.
- You always start as Groblin with a healing potion.

Retrospective and Personal Thoughts:
- Combat is very spammy with only 2 skills and no way to really know what they do.
- There's no real strategy to form in combat, in part stemming from no tooltips, but also from the abilities being mechanically simple.
- I might have scoped down a little too much in order to get something out for the jam, leaving the game a little bit too bare.
- Having said that, I do think I have made a good base to continue from and I have identified a bunch of stuff to begin with as I create a complete version.
- Trial and error is intended to be in the complete version (like WazHack and similar roguelikes), but currently there isn't anything to really enable learning.
- I hate balancing.
- I love procrastinating (I hate that I procrastinate).
