It seems we are lacking the integration of the thumbnail while publishing editorial package with enabled Review... (important with ftrack addon). It causes issues when in ftrack as it wont allow to review any media while lacking the thumbnail.
There is a workaround atm but far from ideal, user either needs to manually capture some thumbnail while in the Publisher UI or assing/upload any thumbnail when having the product in the ftrack frontend. Both place for a human mistake and not bullet proof.
The solution might be just capture the view while publishing the editorial package so it get some thumbnail automatically.
Only when just publishing OTIO itself thumbnail does actually not matter at all...but not in other circumstances.
