TaskMaster - Ultimate Task Manager

TaskMaster is a Next.js-powered task management app with MongoDB for storage, Tailwind CSS for styling, and Kinde Auth for secure authentication. Track your tasks weekly, daily, monthly, or as one-time with an intuitive and modern UI.

📌 Getting Started

Prerequisites

  • Node.js (v18 or higher)
  • npm, yarn, pnpm, or bun

Installation

  1. Clone the repository:

    git clone https://github.com/your-username/taskmaster.git
    cd taskmaster
  2. Install dependencies:

    npm install
    # or
    yarn install
    # or
    pnpm install
    # or
    bun install
  3. Set up environment variables:

    • Create a .env.local file and add:
       ACCESS_TOKEN_SECRET=""
       DATABASE_URI=""
       domain=""
       KINDE_CLIENT_ID=""
       KINDE_CLIENT_SECRET=""
       KINDE_ISSUER_URL=""
       KINDE_SITE_URL=""
       KINDE_POST_LOGOUT_REDIRECT_URL=""
       KINDE_POST_LOGIN_REDIRECT_URL=""
       NEXT_PUBLIC_API_URL=""
  4. Run the development server:

    npm run dev
    # or
    yarn dev
    # or
    pnpm dev
    # or
    bun dev
  5. Open http://localhost:3000 in your browser.

🚀 Deployment

Deploy on Vercel

The easiest way to deploy TaskMaster is via Vercel.

  1. Push your code to GitHub.
  2. Import the repo into Vercel.
  3. Vercel automatically deploys the app.

Other Platforms

TaskMaster can also be deployed on Netlify, AWS, or via Docker.
