Switching between versions does not retain the page you were looking at

A common problem I encounter is googling a Vaadin component (for example TreeGrid) and having to switch the version because I'm not on the latest version of Vaadin. When you do that instead of landing on the V24 version of TreeGrid you land on the root page.

Steps

• Go to latest version of a component: https://vaadin.com/docs/latest/components/tree-grid
• Switch to older version, for example V24

Expected

• If it exists I should be remain on the same path except for the version, in this example: https://vaadin.com/docs/v24/components/tree-grid
• Only if the same path does not exist on the target version, should I be redirected to the root path.

Actual

• I'm redirected to https://vaadin.com/docs/v24/
