Resumable uploads on client

The Golden Retriever uses LocalStorage to store file metadata and Uppy state, and IndexedDB for small files. It also uses a Service Worker for all files because, unlike IndexedDB, a Service Worker can keep large files. Service Worker storage is quite temporary though, and doesn’t persist across browser crashes or restarts. It works well, however, for accidental refreshes or closed tabs.

I like the simplicity of UI, but for my project this won't work — I don't want to keep the file in-flight in browser's storage as I operate with 3Gb+ files. That was the whole reason to upload directly to S3, skipping backend, otherwise I'd explore https://tus.io/ and uppy.io

Oh, in fact Uppy already supports direct uploads to S3 https://uppy.io/docs/aws-s3/
