I install using git, added it to ~/.tmux.conf and when I launch Tmux, it doesn't load immediately. I have to do a config reload(C-a r) for it to appear in the status bar.
Under the 'set -g' option I've tried using single quotes as well as double quotes and it still doesn't appear immediately when starting Tmux.
What else can I try?
Edit: Fixed it. It was the order of options in .tmux.conf
