Could the preview interface support being displayed as a floating window?

Because I use a laptop with an external monitor and I’m developing a desktop application, the preview and the code are currently displayed on the same screen. Since my laptop screen is relatively small, it’s hard to see.

Could the preview be displayed as a floating/separate window, so I can move it to my second monitor for easier side-by-side comparison during development?

I am using as a base a class from the IntelliJ Plugin SDK. I extended it already to be similar to the one in Android Studio. I think this is not so easy to archive what you want.
But as a workaround you could just click on the fullscreen button and open the code in a second window. Than you can move this window on an other screen.
