Operating system

Linux

System version

Linux archredmi 6.19.10-arch1-1 #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Thu, 26 Mar 2026 19:20:28 +0000 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Installation type

package manager

Version

1.1.1:latest

Description

Expected behavior:

Throne's UI should automatically switch to the dark theme, syncing with the GNOME system preference.

Actual behavior:

The app remains in light theme and ignores the system setting.

Additional information:

  • The exact same configuration works perfectly on KDE.
  • This is likely related to how the app detects GNOME's color scheme. Modern GNOME uses gsettings org.gnome.desktop.interface color-scheme, while KDE relies on a different configuration backend.
  • I can provide screenshots, terminal logs, or test PRs/builds if needed.
