Add Responsive Footer Section to Improve Navigation and Branding

Problem

The application currently does not include a dedicated footer section. This makes the UI feel incomplete and limits access to important links and information such as navigation shortcuts, social media links, copyright details, and contact information.

A missing footer can negatively impact:

User navigation experience
Overall UI consistency
Accessibility to important resources
Professional appearance of the application
Proposed Solution

Create a responsive and reusable footer component that appears across the application.

The footer can include:

Project/logo name
Quick navigation links
Social media icons/links
Contact or support information
Copyright notice
Back-to-top option (optional)
Suggested Features
Fully responsive design for mobile and desktop
Reusable component structure
Clean and modern UI styling
Dark/light mode compatibility
Proper spacing and alignment
Hover effects for links and icons

I’d like to take this under GSSoC. I checked the current app structure and there’s already a minimal landing-page footer, so I’ll turn that into a reusable responsive footer component and wire it into the join/not-found flow as well so navigation, repository links, and branding stay consistent across the public-facing pages. I’ll keep the change scoped and add focused UI verification before opening the PR.

Implemented this and opened a PR: #77

What changed:

• extracted a reusable public-site footer component with branding plus quick navigation links
• added the footer to the landing page, join page, and 404 page so the public flow feels consistent instead of ending abruptly
• updated the React smoke test to cover the current landing page and footer navigation

Verification:

• npm.cmd test -- --runTestsByPath src/App.test.js --runInBand --watchAll=false
