Hi everyone,
I want to raise awareness about a critical issue affecting professional web-based drawing on Windows:
- Chromium and Firefox do not support WinTab, the standard for pen/tablet input.
- The only fallback is Windows Ink, which introduces lag, smoothing, and inaccurate pressure — making serious drawing in the browser essentially impossible.
- Even with Windows Ink disabled, real pen pressure and tilt cannot be detected.
This limitation blocks all professional web drawing applications and prevents developers from creating accurate, responsive web-based creative tools.
While Pressure.js itself cannot fix this, you can help by promoting these issues so they get more attention from browser developers:
Supporting or sharing these issues helps increase their visibility and may push the browsers to implement proper WinTab / pen pressure support.
Thank you for helping improve web-based drawing on Windows!
