I have the same error. I am on JDK 23. As a newbie, diagnosis of this issue won't be easy.
A shame, as the course material lays out the learning path for Jenkins very clearly, and it's frustrating to have a blocker with a Maven issue.

My workaround is to fetch the last commit before the Spring unit tests were implemented. These commands.
git fetch origin 4b3e6b3
git checkout FETCH_HEAD
At which point the "mvn clean package" command worked without error. ... and looks to be in parity with the code in the video.

Simple issue bro... The dependencies are java 11 based. Simple fix is that just download java 11 in your system and add this path in ManageJenkins>Tools>JDK Installations.
