Hey, I'm Emmanuel πŸ‘‹

I'm a full-stack developer focused on building
open-source software that solves real problems β€”
especially for developers and learners in emerging
markets who are often underserved by existing tools
and financial systems.

What I'm building

StepFi is my primary project β€” an open-source
Buy Now Pay Later protocol built natively on Stellar
and Soroban. It lets learners in Africa and emerging
markets finance laptops, courses, and dev tools through
installment loans, without banks, without passwords β€”
just their Stellar wallet.

Everything is open source:

  • 5 Soroban smart contracts deployed on Stellar testnet
  • NestJS REST API with 13 modules, live and documented
  • React Native mobile app in active development
  • 37 labeled issues open for contributors

What your sponsorship supports

Your sponsorship directly funds:

  • Infrastructure costs (hosting, APIs, build services)
  • Time to maintain and grow StepFi's open source codebase
  • Creating contributor-friendly issues and documentation
  • Building tools that give learners in emerging markets
access to credit without traditional banking

Why it matters

A developer in Lagos shouldn't have to choose between
buying a laptop and eating. A bootcamp graduate in
Nairobi shouldn't be locked out of opportunities because
they lack a credit history. StepFi is building the
infrastructure to change that β€” one on-chain repayment
at a time.

If you believe in open source, in Stellar, and in
giving the next generation of developers a real chance
β€” your sponsorship makes a difference.
