Labview Compare VI missing in master repository

HI I installed as per your instructions and using sourcetree to compare. It opens vidiff fine. However it could not find vis from master repository when making comparison with new 'Branch' vis. It looks for master repository vis in Appdata/Local/Temp directory but does not find anything. Finally, it finished up with showing multiple differences due to missing vis.

I think, path for comparison of master repository with Branch VIs need to be set up somewhere. Could you help!

We've also run into this issue using Sourcetree with these tools, we have been working on a provisional fix in our own fork.
The issue is caused by Sourcetree / Git not placing temporary files in the working copy when performing a diff which causes the VI to be missing dependencies.
our solution for this (still in testing) is to detect any files that are not placed in the working folder and relocate them to the correct location in the working folder before calling the diff action, the files are then deleted after.

this method may not be valid for all use cases so we're still testing the idea internally.
