Bug description
Hello. I can't get the app to run camera app to scan QR code in order to add another of my devices - pc with Windows 10.
The Signal app does not start camera application whatsoever.
The phone has Samsung Camera app 12.0.07.7. There is no newer version for my phone available to update to.
I also tested Signal by denying the permission to use the camera, but despite that the app does not prompt for the permission when attempting to add another device.
The camera works properly on video calls, though.
When using Samsung Camera app externally to scan the qr code from the pc, the camera generates a link like this:
sgnl://linkdevice?uuid=..............................%3D%3D&pub_key=BdppV%2B..............................&capabilities=backup4%2Cbackup5
(dots used to censor the actual link)
Camera app then asks to open or copy the link. When opened Signal app gets activated and a message is shown:
'Before linking, confirm it's you. Tap continue and enter your phone's lock to confirm. Do not enter your Signal PIN." and a button labaled Continue.
At this point nothing happens, despite the message saying something about unlocking the phone, no lock is engaged, the phone is unclocked.
After tapping the Continue button, the entire message (Before linking...) disapears and nothing else ever happens.
Therefore I'm unable to add new devices.
I've read many posts regarding similiar problem, but none of them mentions the camera app not starting.
Please, advise.
