Horizontal scrolling on mouse zooms canvas erratically

I have a logitech mx master mouse with a horizontal scrolling wheel.
When I spin the horizontal scrolling wheel even a little, the canvas zooms extremely.
Ideally, the module should not map horizontal scrolling to zoom when in mouse mode or at least make it an optional setting.
